Mary Cross was engaged by solicitors to provide a preliminary opinion on programming and delay for the owner of a residential property which was having a £0.5M extension carried out. The project was subject to substantial delay and issues with quality which led to the termination of the contractor and a series of adjudications.
Mary was brought in to determine the impact of the delays encountered and also to consider whether time had become at large. Her preliminary opinion was converted to a CPR Part 35 Expert Report which was relied upon by the owner in adjudication proceedings which ultimately led to the settlement of the case.
Mary’s work included a detailed review of the documents and the preparation of an impacted construction programme in PowerProject to ascertain the impact of the delays on the Completion Date.
